Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Pickle mobile app, operated by Morgan Bennett ("we," "us"). Contact: iminapickle.app@gmail.com.
1. Acceptance
By using Pickle, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Pickle. By using the app, you confirm that you are 13 or older. Pickle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. We use Google or Apple to verify your identity. We never store your password. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account, which permanently removes your profile, pickles, and votes.
4. Your content and conduct
You own what you post. By posting, you grant Pickle a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display your content within the app.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post anything illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that violates others' rights. To enforce this:
- All text and images are screened by automated moderation before publishing.
- Any user can report any pickle from within the app.
- Any user can block any other user; blocked users' content is hidden in both directions and any friendship is removed.
- Reports are reviewed by a human moderator. Content that violates these terms is removed, posters are warned, and repeat offenders (two warnings) are banned for 30 days. Severe violations may result in permanent termination.
5. Entertainment only: not professional advice
Pickle is a social entertainment app. Votes cast by other users are casual expressions of opinion, for fun only. They are not professional advice of any kind: not medical, legal, financial, relationship, mental health, or any other form of professional guidance. Never make important life decisions based solely on Pickle votes.
We are not responsible or liable for any decisions you make or do not make based on Pickle content.
6. Free and Pro tiers
Free accounts include up to 10 text pickles per day, 1 photo pickle per week, the 1-hour and 24-hour voting durations, and 10 Speed Pickles per session.
Pickle Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription ($2.99 USD/month) that unlocks unlimited text pickles, up to 10 photo pickles per week, all voting durations, unlimited Speed Pickles, and seeing who voted on your pickles.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account (or Google Play account) at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or from Settings → Subscription in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Apple (or Google) is the seller of record for all purchases — we never receive your payment details and cannot issue, approve, or deny a refund ourselves. Refunds are granted at their discretion under their policies, and any statutory rights you have are exercised through them. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, or, for a recent charge, from Settings → Subscription → Request a refund in the app, which opens Apple's own refund form.
- To keep the app safe and affordable, all accounts are subject to anti-abuse limits (including the photo pickle cap), and limits may change over time.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms.
8. Disclaimers
Pickle is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or the quality of any vote results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pickle and its creators, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including, without limitation, any decisions made in reliance on vote results, user-generated content, or any other feature of the app. Your use of Pickle is entirely at your own risk.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
